Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT) “Integrative Yoga Therapy was founded in 1993 by Joseph Le Page. It brings together all of the most powerful yoga tools: asana, pranayama, mudra, Yoga Nidra, mantra, and meditation into a complete system where they can be integrated and utilized for therapeutic classes directed toward specific groups and for one-on-one yoga therapy sessions. IYT’s experiential approach to learning allows students to integrate in-depth information through a creative process resulting in a unique and comprehensive learning experience. IYT training sites help students integrate the full experience of yoga through unique natural surroundings and meditative environments. Their training sites include Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, and Ancient Yoga Center Austin, Texas. They also have their own retreat center, Enchanted Mountain Yoga Center, in the south of Brazil.

Wigmore Institute, Puerto Rico/USA.” Dr. Ann Wigmore founded the Ann Wigmore Foundation in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1963 and the Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute in Puerto Rico in 1990. Dr. Ann Wigmore, teacher, healer, creator of the Living Foods Lifestyle®, Founder and Center Director and Author of numerous books and articles on Living Foods, dedicated her life to educating the world about the transforming qualities of this wonderful lifestyle. The Vegetarian Times Magazine once stated, “Dr. Ann Wigmore is to sprouts what George Washington Carver is to peanuts. Both are food geniuses of a sort. The next time you see sprouts on a salad bar or in a store, thank Dr. Ann.” The mission of the Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute is to promote self-healing through the Living Foods Lifestyle®, which was developed by Dr. Ann Wigmore over three decades of research. The learning center teaches students how to restore and rejuvenate their bodies through the Living Foods Lifestyle® certification program. The Living Foods Lifestyle® consists of uncooked nutritious foods such as greens, vegetables, fruits, and soaked and sprouted nuts and seeds from which salads, cultured preparations, dehydrated snacks, Rejuvelac, wheatgrass juice, and the famous “Energy Soup” are created. The food is high-enzyme, chlorophyll-rich and extremely easy to digest so that your body can receive optimal nourishment while exerting very little energy in the digestive process. This helps the body to achieve homeostasis by freeing up energy in the body to be used instead for healing, wellness, and disease prevention. Through this simple natural lifestyle, people from all walks of life can take control of their lives and their health. Since opening the first Ann Wigmore Institute in 1963, thousands of people from all over the world have visited the intimate non-profit centers Dr. Ann Wigmore founded to learn how to optimize their health and prevent illness. Year-round, the Ann Wigmore Institute offers two-week certification programs in the Living Foods Lifestyle®. American ViniyogaTM Institute” The American ViniyogaTM Institute is an organization of yoga practitioners and professionals sharing core values, guided by the spirit of ViniyogaTM and dedicated to offering quality experiential, education and professional training opportunities in the fields of health and fitness, therapy and self care, and personal transformation.

They honor the integrity of ancient yoga teachings while making them relevant and practical today. We are connected by the teachings of Viniyoga through Gary Kraftsow, MA, E-RYT 500, Founder and Director of the American ViniyogaTM Institute, who evolved this approach to yoga from the teachings of T.K.V. Desikachar and T. Krishnamacharya of Madras, India.

In 2011 I completed the Viniyoga Therapy training Gary Kraftsow. The training was so profound that once my son is older, I would like to do the training again with Gary to continue to drink from that fountain of knowledge.
